A Birkin like this be priced around $30,000.
I recently visited the Hermes store in Chicago and the sales lady was so nice she let me try on and fondle one of their leather Birkins, 30 cm in leather, one of the entry level bags. It retailed at over $8,000. One in crocodile as fine as the one pictured would be closer in price to a mid sized car or SUV. A vintage croc Birkin was featured on Forbes (2007) most expensive toys at $120,000.
